A long weekend…

I went to the botanic garden in Edinburgh again. We planned to go to B&Q but when we went outside the house it was warm and sunny; my husband asked me if I would like to go to botanic garden and then we were there. Since we did not plan to go in advance so I did not take any nuts for the squirrels. This squirrel was a little bit upset but still posed for me because he was a professional squirrel model.
Before I went into the garden, I was a bit hungry because I had only one cereal bar for my breakfast. We had hotdogs it was not as good as the one I had in London but at least it did its job. My husband was a bit disappointed about the rhododendrons in the garden because he expected to see all of them in flowers which would be spectacular but some of them were passed and some of them were not flower yet. These Azaleas were so pretty. I hope my Azaleas in the front garden would be like these in the future.
I did not know what this plant was called but its flowers looked like snake’s mouth. Strange huh?
It was raining all morning on Sunday. We went to the center of Edinburgh to have lunch. It was Chinese buffet. It was a little bit disappointed because I expected to have mussels but they did not have it. After lunch we went shopping, my lovely and sweet husband bought me ‘Lily of the valley - Eau de Toilette’. At night he said I stinked of lily of the valley. Humph!!!…
When we came back in the afternoon, it was sunny. I decided to do my painting in the garden. I was hot in the sun. My husband took this photo from the study.
I have a good news. Robbie is now trying to nest in our robin’s box. I saw him busy picking things to make his bed. I have to be careful working in the garden so I would not scare him and chase him and his family away.

At my hometown, we also have Thai squirrel. Her name is Judy. We do not cage her. She is free to go anywhere she want. Next time when I go to Chonburi, I will take her picture and show you. Bye, Jiro’s dad
