Another weekend update…

This weekend was a bit cold. We went to the Chinese supermarket too early. We were there at 9:40 am but it had not opened yet. We normally came on Sunday after 10:00 am and we thought it would be opened differently on Saturday but we were wrong. So we had to wait in the car. It was annoying that we had to wait and then we could not get what we came for but at least we got more ginger tea for Dad.

We went to Dobbies and bought some herbs for my little herb garden. I got Dill and Black Peppermint. I also got more Chrysanthemums. I thought I would not want to buy anything but garden centers always lure me. On the way back I saw a sign of another garden center near Musselburgh. It was Newhailes Garden Center. We were a bit hungry so we did not stop there.

We went to Chinese supermarket again on Sunday and got what we wanted. Then we went to Newhailes Garden Center. It was different than the other garden centers. I quite like it. The plants did not look like they had been forced and the price was not too expensive. I bought 7 perennials for 1.95 each and a Laurus Nobilis (aka Sweet Bay) for my sweet and lovely husband. After that he took me to Inveresk Lodge Garden. It was a nice garden. I like it.
