Back to the doctor…

I just came back from seeing the doctor today. It was my first time seeing Dr. Lawson. When I was in the room he smiled and waited for me to say something which I did not know what I was supposed to say. Finally he asked what he could do for me. I said I came here to hear about the result of my thyroid scan. He could not find the result in my patient file. He asked when I had the scan. At first I could not remember the date, I told him it was about 2 weeks ago. Then I asked him if I could see the calendar and I could tell him that I had the scan on August 22nd, 2005. He called the receptionist and asked her to find him my result. Then he asked me if the doctor who scanned my thyroid told me anything. I told him what the doctor told me. He thought it might be because my thyroid got infected. Then the result came and there was the same as I told. I asked the doctor about what to do next. He looked at my blood test results and said my TSH was quite low. Then we had a problem about the date again because there was only one blood test result in my file which was the one in June (my first one). He had to look up on the intranet application to see my second blood test result. He said TSH was better than the first time but still low and it would be worth checking it again. So he wrote me a note to the receptionist to have another blood test within 3 weeks from today which is September 26th, 2005 and then I will go to see him again a week after that.

Last weekend was a good weekend. The weather was brilliant. We went to the fishmonger on Saturday and bought 4 fillets of sea bass and 8 king prawns. We told Charlotte and Graeme that we will cook seafood for them at the weekend because I did not have any fast heart beating since I started having more seafood which I hope it would help Charlotte too.

We made one of Rick Stein’s recipes called Ruis Turmeric Fish with Masala Dhal. HG was the one who really cooked that day. I helped him prepare things and I was the one who seasoned it. We had it with Naan bread.

It was very sunny on Sunday. There was no cloud at all and the temperature was about 20-25c. We had grilled prawns with seafood sauce and cauliflower butter for lunch. After lunch HG took me to the beach in Dunbar. It was very nice beach but weird that we had to use the bridge to cross the creek before going to the beach. We had to take the sandals off on the other side of the bridge because we needed to walk into the water to get to the beach. There was a tide table on the bridge warning about when the tide is in, the water on the other side of the bridge could be too high to walk. We walked along the beach for about 40 minutes, we thought about Taggie. We thought she would love to come here too because she could run around and it was not that busy. I met one Labrador who was happily going to fetch the stick that his owner threw into the sea. I also met another dog who played with his football in the sea. The way he held the ball in his mouth reminded me of Woody.

Oops, It is late now and I need to go to cook my dinner.

Hi Aum, I agree with you to eat seafood, this will be good for your health. I think it will be better to exercise everyday. Hope you get better and better soon. Take care, Lha.
