Barbequed Bears…

It has been good weather for the whole week and the weather forecast for today said it would be sunny with 19c which was quite accurate but I hope they will not be accurate next week because they said it is going to rain and cold. We planned to have barbeque today so we went to shop at Tesco in the morning. At that time we were at Tesco it was a bit cloudy so we were not so sure if we could have BBQ today. I had some difficulties when shopping because I tried to keep my fingers crossed all the time so I could not pick things up. (Just as well my sweet and lovely husband was there to do it for me.) Believe it or not, it worked. We went out of Tesco and it was so sunny and warm. We went to Dobbies garden center after that and again I bought some Fuchsias. Hehe,I thought I did not want anything.
Once we came home HG started assembling BBQ. He said there were too many screws and it took him almost an hour to do that. While he was doing that, I prepared potatoes. I put them to boil for 20 minutes. Once they were cooked, I put them in the kitchen foil, drizzled with some olive oil and seasoned with salt, pepper and flat-leafed parsley and it was ready to be on the BBQ.
Tatty and Ninae would like to be on the BBQ. So we could have Barbequed-Bears. We bought “instant BBQ charcoal” from B&Q. In the bag, there were 6 packs of charcoal. This was HG’s first time BBQ by himself, so he needed to read the instructions. It was fantastic, all we needed to do was put a package of charcoal on the BBQ and light it and then we were ready to cook. We had some sausages, beef kebabs, potatoes that I prepared earlier and some grilled peppers and courgettes. It was a first nice lunch in the garden this year and HG also got the first sun burn of the year as well.
After we finished having our lunch, I wanted to go for a little walk. While I was waiting for HG to be ready, I took a photo of one of my vegetable bed. There were some plants there. They are radishes, turnips, broccolis, cauliflowers and kales. We bought the Victorian cloches to warm up the soil for the sweet corns. It looked like 3 big boobs.
Since we were going for a walk, I thought we should take Taggie with us. So we went to get her and look how she acted when we said WALK.
While we were walking, HG took more photos of Pencaitland church for me to paint.
We stopped at SPAR (the groceries shop in the village) to buy some ice creams. Taggie liked ice cream so much. You can see from her photos.

I’m sure there’s a society for the protection of bears that very clearly states you should NOT let them near BBQs!!!!! Taggie was knackered after her walk and didn’t eat her tea - now I know it’s because Auntie Aum and Uncle Graeme stuffed her full of ice cream ROTFLOL! You’re spoiling her rotten, and she loves it. It also meant I could do gardening without Taggie ‘helping’ digging!!! Have a good week, Charlotte x
