Easter weekend…

My parents-in-law came to stay with us last weekend. They came with two Easter bunnies, one for me and one for HG. They also bought Easter bone for Pepper because chocolate is bad for dog. Pepper was so excited to see grandma and granddad. It took him a while to settle after their arrival. We had Chinese takeaway from Haddington, HG bought quite a lot because we planned to have the leftover for later in the week as well. We all enjoy the meal especially Pepper and his prawn crackers. What a crunch!!!

On Saturday, HG, dad and I took Pepper out for the morning walk. We first went to the football field but there were some kids there for their football lesson. So we headed back to the wood. Nothing much happened as we met no dog. We came back and put Pepper in his crate for his morning sleep with grandma. No, grandma did not sleep with him. HG, dad and I left the dog and grandma in the house for weekly shopping at Tesco. We went to the fish monger to get some Salmon fillets for dinner as well.

After lunch, we took Pepper out to the wood again because the football field was still occupied. Dad and I was a bit lazy so we sat on a big tree trunk enjoyed the sunshine. We met Beauty and her cousin dog I could not remember his name. Beauty and her cousin were black Labrador. They both ran after Pepper. Beauty and Pepper went into the trench while we were talking with Heather and her sister. Pepper was so tired after that.

After the walk, the work began. HG and dad were planting potatoes in our newly dug vegetable patch. Yes, we gave up more grass as Pepper was helping killing them when he needed to pee on the rainy day or late at night. When he was a puppy he was so fussy about peeing. He refused to pee on the bit that I prepared for his toilet and wanted to use the grass. He is not that fussy now.

That night we had Teriyaki salmon for dinner. It was very nice. We had my homemade coconut ice cream for dessert.

On Sunday we worked a bit in the garden because it was a bit colder than Saturday. I hoed and weeded our onion and garlic beds. Our garden looks very nice now.

HG cooked roast chicken and baked potatoes for Sunday lunch. It was very nice. He used free range corn fed chicken and it was a very tasty chicken.

After lunch we took Pepper to the football field. Ah,finally we had the football field for ourselves. If Pepper saw either of us was going to get the Frisbee before him he would lie down and waited for the next throw. While we were playing with the Frisbee there were three boys came to the football field to play football. They were on the other side and Pepper did not bother about them until one throw of the Frisbee was landed not too far from them. He went to them and offered them his Frisbee and wished that they would take the Frisbee and throw it for him but they didn’t. So he came back to us and did not bother them again.
