Eyemouth and Diesel…

On Saturday night we had been invited to have dinner at Kemsley’s house. Graeme called and told us to be there at 6:30 pm. I picked our raspberries for the boys and my HG took 2 bottles of wine, Chardonnay for Charlotte and Portuguese red wine for Graeme. The starter was aubergine and chilies with ricotta cheese soup. It was nice but I could not finish it. Main course was Skate wings with Chinese leaves, bacon and caper sauce. It was nice but too sour for me because Graeme followed the recipe exactly. It was very nice of them to invite us for a meal but because Charlotte was not well that day so Graeme had to do all the cooking and cleaning afterwards himself. We offered to take Taggie out to do her business for him.

Fisherman at Eyemouth

On Sunday HG took me to a small fishing town called Eyemouth. At first I thought the name was strange but I knew now why it is called Eyemouth. It is because it is located at the mouth of the river Eye. Once I opened the car I could smell very strong seaweed smell. It made me feel that I wanted to eat seafood. Eyemouth fishing harbour is still active. I wish I lived near by so I could come in the morning to buy some seafood from the fish market like this. We walked along the harbour and HG said he just found a restaurant he looked up on the internet. We had fish supper. It was very nice, quick and delicious. After the meal, we had a wee walk around the other side of the harbour.

Diesel

We met a boy walked two big black Labradors on the leashes. Suddenly the door of the van on the side was open and a big Rottweiler came out and tried to attack those two Labradors. A few minutes later the fisherman who was working with his net in the boat near the van obviously the owner of the van and the Rottweiler came up and took care of his dog. After that we met a very cute puppy called Diesel. He was 18 weeks old. He looked like Labrador but his owner said miniature German shepherd. But they said someone said Diesel might have some Labrador in him. We were stalking them just to watch the dog.

After that we went to Berwick-upon-tweed. We needed to buy ready-mixed grout for our shower. We also went to the garden center in Berwick and bought 3 small bags of coloured gravels for my next rockery project.

I was so busy most of the day on Monday. I tidied up the garden, planted onions, red onions and garlic bulbs. While my HG was cooking, I was upstairs removing the grout and sealant in the shower. We found out about the leaking on Sunday morning. This morning I chatted with Pradit who tried to chat with me since Friday but I was not at my desk. He said he dreamed about me. He said in his dream I had a car accident, my car was hit by a truck and I lost my left hand. Finally I died because I jumped off the window at the hospital. It was scary. I told HG about this and he replied in the e-mail and asked me not to clean the windows.
