Having Taggie for 12 days…

Taggie in her basket

Yesterday we went to Alva for tidying up the oldies garden as normal but the different thing was I drove. That was the first time of me driving on the motorway in UK. It was more like driving in Thailand except, you could not stay on the right-hand lane. It was used for overtaking only. After finished gardening, we went to have lunch and do some shopping in Stirling. We bought Harry Potter 6 in Sainsbury. It will take me quite a while to finish it.

Strawberry

This morning Graeme, Charlotte’s husband, came to see us and asked if we would like to adopt Taggie for 12 days while they are away on holidays. Actually, they already booked and paid for Taggie to stay at the kennel. He said he would feel better for Taggie to stay with us than the kennel but he would understand if we said no. I told him I would let him know, coz I needed to talk to HG. HG agreed with me with a very good reason. He said this might be a good way for him to know how he would feel being in the house with a dog.

Raspberry

Taggie is not yet settled. She keeps looking at the door waiting for her boss to return. We are upstairs in the study and she is on the landing looking down to the door. When I was in the garden taking photos of the plants I saw water in her eyes. I did not know if it was her tears or not. Poor Taggie. Charlotte said she probably might not eat anything today, but we managed to get her eat by mixing her food with very good Stir-fry chicken with sweet soy sauce made by my sweet and lovely husband. She ate it all and even asked for more. She went out for W-A-L-K about 4 times today since her bosses left. HG was great about Taggie today. He took good care of Taggie, changed her water, took her out for her business walk and rubbed her tummy many times. I hope he will be a lot more comfortable with dog enough to have our own dog soon.

Good Life Rose

I took photos of my strawberries; one of them is now ready to eat and there are a lot more to come. I think I will probably try it tomorrow. One of my raspberries is now has colour. I am so proud of them.

Last year we ordered 3 roses from Cocker’s roses. They are now flowering. This one is called Good Life. It is a large flowered Hybrid Tea rose. Good life was launched by the Parkinson’s disease Society of the United Kingdom on its 30th anniversary.
