Lha’s visit (Part 4)…

On Tuesday after we got ready to go downstairs. I knocked at Lha’s room but there was no answer. So we went downstairs and put the stuff in the car. Then we saw Lha and P’Lo came in to the hotel. They got up quite early and went out for a walk around the town to take some photos. Then we had to wait for a while for the breakfast. Everyone order the full cooked breakfast. Lha and P’Lo asked for scrambled eggs. HG and I had fried eggs. This was their first time to have black puddings. At first Lha asked HG what it made from. He said it was made from pig and afraid to tell her that it was made from pig blood. I asked her in Thai if she is ok with the pig blood cake. She said she could eat it as long as it was not too soft. So I told her that was made from pig’s blood and it had been fried. So she tried and like it. After breakfast, HG went to pay the bill while Lha and P’Lo went upstairs to get their bags. Then we were ready to explore around the Loch Ness. It was quite cold that day and there was a bit of rain here and there. Our first stop was at Urquhart Castle. It was a ruined castle. We took some photos from the view point. We did not stay there for long because it was quite windy and cold. After that we made another stop at Drumnadrochit. At first we thought we could go to the waterfall around there but it would take about 3 hours so we didn’t. There were some of tulips around there so Lha and P’Lo went to take photos of them while HG and I went to the shop to buy something. We bought a hat for P’Lo to cover his ears from the cold. It has Scottish flag at the front and we also bought a T-shirt with Scottish flag at the front for Lha. We asked the lady in the shop to cut all the labels from the hat so it was ready to wear. We were right because P’Lo wore it immediately. After that we went to Cromarty we did not spend a lot of time there because we were a bit hungry. Our next stop after that was Aviemore and we had lunch there. It was Fish and chips. P’Lo seemed to like Fish and chips a lot. After that we headed to Alva. We were in Alva around 4:30pm and the first thing I heard when I got of the car was Pepper’s bark. He was at the windows barking. He was so please to see us again. We had a chat with mum and dad about how good Pepper was and we bought some fudges for them for looking after our dog. We bought it because on the box it said “Thank you for looking after our dog” and mum likes fudges. I went to the kitchen to start cooking while Lha and P’Lo went to walk around the garden and the village and took some photos. We cooked Roast duck with orange sauce, roast potatoes and stir-fry shredded cabbage with butter and garlic for them. They ate them all and were a bit stuffed. When we told them that there were puddings after that, Lha said she did not think she could eat anything else but I insisted and told her that dad spent all day making this pudding for them to try. It was Profiterole. P’Lo loves it so much. He ate all his and some from Lha. He asked dad how to make them. Dad tried to explain to them very slowly and showing them some of the ingredients. Finally he used his new sophisticate-multi-functional printer to copy the recipe for P’Lo. Before we left we took the photos together but Pepper did not seem to cooperate very well. We were home quite late, as I remembered it was almost 10pm. We were so tired especially HG because of all the long driving. Lha gave him a neck massage before we went to bed.

One Response to “Lha’s visit (Part 4)…”

Dear all, I’m very jealous of your houses. They are located at the very good environment. Have a very fresh air, very nice sight seeing, a lot of very beautiful flowers in the garden, and etc. I wonder why dad and HG can cook and they were very good meals. Because it’s hard to see Thai men cook in Thailand. Lha.
