Pepper…

I have good news. I have my own puppy now. Yeah!! He is 3/4 Labrador crossed with 1/4 Springer Spaniel. He is black with a little bit white on his chin and chest. One of his toes is pink the rest are black. We agreed to call him Pepper. His full name is Black Pepper. We went to get him from Strathaven, near Glasgow on Saturday afternoon. We were busy in the morning; went shopping to Tesco and went to the pet shop to buy essential things for a new puppy. We did not know at that time that we were going to get him or not but HG said if we did not get this one we would get one sometime. Finally we got him on that day. We tried to put him in the crate but he whined all the time. We had to stop the car and I moved to the back and sat with him. Finally I got him to sleep in the crate next to me all the way home. We took him straight to the bit in the garden where we wanted him to do his business. For a while Kemsley family came to visit a new puppy. Charlotte and the boys wanted to have a new puppy too. After that we took Pepper out for a wee exercise around the cul-de-sac. There were many people came to see Pepper while we were on the road. Pepper was so popular that day.
At night we decided to stay with him downstairs because we tried to take him out to eliminate whenever he woke up. We tried hard not to let him do his business in the house. We laid down the newspaper and the puppy pad in the house but he does not seem to use it. He likes the carpet. So we had to keep eyes on him all the time. He was a pee machine that night. We could manage to make him do his business where we wanted most of the time. There were few times that he did on the grass.
Today the boy next door, Charlie and his mother, Janie came to the door and gave Pepper a toy. Charlie is about two years old and he likes animals. He likes Taggie. Janie said they saw Pepper from their house when we were in the garden. Pepper was asleep when they came so they did not see Pepper but he likes the toy so much.
HG did a very great job with Pepper. He is so amazing husband. I knew he loves me very much but having Pepper showed me a lot how much he loves me. When we first married he said he was not comfortable around the dogs. I almost gave up about having a dog. Than when I started walking Taggie I tried to introduce Taggie to his life. I asked him to go out for a walk with me which everytime I always took Taggie with us. Finally when we had Taggie for two weeks when Kemsley were away for holidays, HG felt in love with Taggie and vice versa. And now we are having our own puppy. I am so happy to have my own puppy but at the same time I feel a bit guilty because having a puppy will change our life style completely. I will do my best to make it up to him as he did so much for me to make me happy to be here. While I was writing this, Pepper woke up and walked from his bed to sleep on my lap. He was such a sweet boy.

Hi Aum, Congratulation for a new member. He is a lovely puppy. I think you both will be very busy. I hope you both succeed in teaching him to do his business in the appropriate place. Enjoy you life, Lha.
