Taggie goes home…

HG and Taggie

Today is the last day of Taggie with us. I gave her a wash and brushed her teeth with the poultry flavour toothpaste yesterday. We gave her a special treat last night. I made Chinese style steamed rice with smoke sausage and vegetables. She ate them all, licked her bowl clean and asked for more. It was raining when we took her out for a walk after dinner. She was quite wet which we had to clean and dry her before let her cozy in her basket.

Taggie and The Bears

At night when HG was getting ready for bed, we did not take her basket in the bedroom yet. She came to the bedroom looking for HG. I could tell because she came in to the bedroom and looked up on the bed. When she could not find HG, she tried to go downstairs. I had to tell her that HG was in the bathroom and HG had to shout from the bathroom to tell her to be in her basket. We let her in our bed for a while before we went to sleep. She did not seem to be comfortable in bed. We gave her a lot of tummy tickles and let her went back to her basket.

Taggie turns left

Taggie is a very well-trained dog. She knew a lot. When I told her to go to her basket, even she did not want to go but she did go. She had never come up to the sofa if you did not ask her to. When I told her to come up to the sofa, if I said ‘Taggie come here’, she would only come to the front of the sofa. I had to tap on the sofa, so she would come up. At first Charlotte and Graeme told us that she might not eat anything. She sometimes did not eat anything for a day or two. We managed to make her eat every single day. HG was so good about insist her to eat her food. We mixed her food with Cesar dog food. Sometimes when she denied eating, HG would mix her food with some Bristo gravy granulates and then she ate them all. We gave her some chew-chew thing after her finished her dinner.

Taggie turns right

This morning Charlotte called and let me know that they were in Scotland and would be at home within two hours. When they were here, Taggie was thrilled to see her bosses. She groaned, purred and barked like she complained that why her bossed did not take her with them or why it took them so long to come and get her or something like that. I was happy for her to go back to her lovely home and also happy for us that we do not have to take her out tonight because it has been raining all day today and no sign of sunshine.
