Weekend Update…

When I woke up on Saturday, it was sunny and warm. We decided to sow some seeds in our vegetable beds. We sowed potatoes and onions. Then we went to Klondyke garden center in Stirling since we planned to have a dinner with Fiona’s family, mum and dad in Gurgunnock. After Klondyke, we were a bit hungry. I wanted to eat hotdog but we could not find any, so we stopped at Burger King. While we were eating in the car, we saw couple crows were pecking some food from the trash bin. No wonder why the crows here look a bit unhealthy. Oops, can’t talk!. After eating, we went to B&Q. It was in the same area as Burger King. We wanted to buy some plastic mesh and canes. Then we tried to find Dobbies but we could not find it. We went to Alva, to deliver video player machine to mum and dad and then we all went to see Fiona and her family at Gurgunnock.
On Sunday, we went to Ford Nursery near Berwick-upon-tweed. (http://www.bradleygardens.co.uk) They grow all of the plants themselves. They also have their garden look similar to botanic garden. HG bought 2 plants for me as my birthday presents. They were Ribes Sanguineum (aka flowering currant), one was white and the other one was pink.
We stopped near the border between England and Scotland to have lunch. That was my first time having bacon roll. I stopped on the road between A1 and Pencaitland to take some photos of lambs. One of them stopped and stared at me while I took its photo. After I finished and walked back to the car, it ran back to its mother.
When we came back home, we sowed more seeds which were carrots, beet roots, parsnips, spring onions, and peas. After that we covered the beds with plastic mesh and put our gnome to keep the birds of the peas.
